Cool Earth

Woodmap attaches great value to the health of global forests. Because we only use FSC certified wood, we contribute directly to the protection of our worldwide forests and to a healthy environment for people and animals. In order to pursue our environmentally-friendly goal, we work together with Cool Earth.

Cool Earth is a charity that works with indigenous villages to stop the destruction of the rainforest. The charity works with 116 rainforest villages around the world. Cool Earth focuses its efforts on rainforests that are most at risk, from South America (Peru) to Africa (Congo). In these high-risk rainforests, the home and living environment of the indigenous population is at stake. Cool Earth gives the indigenous population the necessary means to keep their forest intact.

What has Cool Earth achieved in the meantime?

• The protection of 900,000 hectares of rainforest (216,402,960 trees)
• Nearly 200 million tons of carbon embedded
